Save money by using less ink

Ink cartridges are typically the most costly part of printing if you use an InkJet printer.  By changing the default print settings to use black ink only (do you really need color printing all the time?) and setting the quality settings to draft mode, those expensive ink cartridges can last significantly longer.

In your Control Panel, double click on "Printers and Faxes"

Right Click on your printer, then left click properties.

Click the printing preferences button.

In the window that will appear, it is here that you will change the options to select black & white printing only and draft as the quality settings.

Click OK to save the settings.

You'll notice you'll be taking a lot fewer trips to the store to purchase ink cartridges now!

TIP:
When you are printing and you want to use regular mode (color or better quality), click on the "Preferences" button in the printing dialog box (next to where you would choose the printer you want to print to) and choose different settings for that printing.
